Hadassah Germany Celebrates Its Donors
8-Jun-2010
To thank its major donors and sponsors, Hadassah Germany invited them to a dinner at the designer Hotel Restaurant Ritzi in Munich.
About 80 guests enjoyed a wonderful evening together, meeting new like-minded people who share Hadassah’s vision of supporting patients with the best medical care without regard to nationality or religion.
The evening started with a welcome by Gady Gronich, Director of Hadassah Germany and Europe, followed by a short overview of the work of the German office since its opening three years ago. The Tower campaign was highlighted by Michael Kern, Hadassah Board Member and Munich restaurant proprietor, whose passion for Hadassah was ignited after visiting the Hadassah Hospitals twice in 2009. Prof. Dr. H. C. Werner Weidenfeld, political scientist in the think tank of the German government, gave a short introduction of the high level of medical care in Israel, exemplified by the Hadassah Medical Organization.

Guests also enjoyed wine while listening to the sounds of the Israeli soul and opera diva, Shira Karmon. "Many of our German donors prefer to stay anonymous," says Mr. Gronich. "That is why we have decided not to honor them publicly with an award, but instead with an invitation to dinner, and a little surprise present at the end--a box with kosher wine."
